Flat File detail - sculpture on base cross piecies

This sculpting on the base of the flat file is made from the poplar scrapes left over from building the case.
It simulates the effects of erosion I witnessed all through the desert - apparent symetry along the top of the cross piecies, collapsing into more chaotic shapes & forms beneath.
